Drive for Siemens 1.8KW DC Servo motor

Siemens 1.8KW DC Servo motor, 167VDC - 12.5A - 2000rpm.

What drive should i use? Rutex R2020 looks fit - but no stock of them.

If you like the DIY approach try the HP_UHU.

Kreutz.

Thanks Kreutz, the HP_UHU looks promising.

Trying to read some threads about it and on the wiki, I am still not sure which one is the "last" version of them - schematic and PCB. Could you please give me the direct link to them? I understand that you are the designer of the HP UHU Board.

I've read some DIY servo drive project, why most of them use many pasive components on the gate of the mosfet?

Mariss the guru use only ONE resistor on the most of Geckodrive while the latest reference design schematic of his "TinyCPLD" use NONE!

What is the importance of RL (or RLC?) network on the output of the H-Bridge?

I think I will try to push my luck building the servo driver for my purpose from the scratch. Here is the schematic for the power bridge, the controller part is on the way.

Need some feedback, thanks.

Board Layout in progress, not optimized yet - need to go back to the schematic some mistakes there.

The last iteration of the Layout. This is a free time work, will take a long time to build this drive, if ever...
