from a Camsoft / Galil setup. I'm replacing the servos and drives with sureservos. so far i am having trouble getting signal to the drives. the servos jog thru the drive unit but are not responding with the signal from the galil. Thanks so much! |

| Check to see if you are getting the ±10vdc at the drive, or at least some analogue voltage. I like to tune and test using the Galil Terminal direct first. Why are you using step/dir with galil? or are you using the stepper output? Al.

Yes, the previous setup was setup as step and direction. so i thought i would do minimal disturbance so we could get the machine up. I am getting a signal from the galil. i think i must be missing some servo enable or other limit type error stopping it from responding. do you know which inputs are required? the drive has a servo enable mode and even when its enabled it does not respond. |

| If the drives take ±10vdc I would set them up that way from the Galil, if you command a move, you should see the analogue output on the motor command output. Use the DMCTERM or equivalent from Galil to get the motors set up with the native commands first. Al.
