I have problem with Z axis using Mitsubishi DC Servo If I press + sign on panel, the display show the correct direction but the Z axis move to the wrong direction. I try to change just the power line to servo motor, the motor vibrates. Any suggest which wire should I change if I want make change direction for DC Servo? Should I change the Tach Wire too? How? Thanks for your help |

| My computer doesn't have enough resolution to read your print. I've had to do this. You need to switch both the + and - power leads to the servo. And the A and B encoder leads. If you have a differential encoder you need to swap A and A- with B and B-. This is the concept, you'll have to find where on your print. karl |

| If you swap the armature leads you also would have to swap the tach. Then what about your readout direction? What CNC control is this? As generally you connect the servo up to the book, and if you need another servo direction or readout reversal, this can be done normally by parameter. If you need to reverse the direction of an encoder, you only need to swap A & /A. Al.

The control is MELDAS-83A, I can't find which parameter to reverse direction. Is it related with Servo Constant (Parameter code MC)? I try to input with minus value, the servo sound rough and the readout not actual. I have no Idea which wire should I swap? The connector from motor consist 5 wire with ground and I'm not sure with tach. The tach code is "PICK UP UNIT" RST-4XC 2V-100RPM. |

| The tach appears to be one of the Tamagawa digital tachs, I would not suggest trying to reverse this. I am not sure if I have info on the 83A but it might be on the MEAU site. Usually it is a parameter that you set to 1 or -1 for either direction. Al.

| I thought that was SANYO.what's a matter with tamagawa digital tach, al? It just a resolver isn't it? I have search on The MEAU site and they not provide it. So... what is the best solution? My problem is I want my Z axis home on the top. Its to dangerous if move the doq to the bottom I'm still waiting Last edited by parametric.ms; 09-13-2008 at 01:56 PM. |

| Personally I would not go the hardware change route, all the Mits sytems I have come across are set up by parameter. If I get the chance I will see if I can dig out the manual for this system, but It may take a while. Al.

| What is the Mits model number on the CNC rack itself? Al.

| http://www.meau.com/Files/BNP-A6478.PDF But I don't see any other options than physical wiring changes. There are strict polarity relationships between motor, tachometer and resolver/encoder. If the motor leads are reversed then tach wires as well as resolver/encoder wires have to be addressed. |
