    Send and email to electrocraft

I had a similar query, I sent the model # to Electrocraft's email, they were kind enough to scan in the product's spec sheet and email back. Very helpful, I got the customer support email address from thier website. Give that a try.

In many cases, the reason the part number is not in any catalogue, is due to being an OEM number, if the item is current, some manuf. will not give details out, per instructions from their customer.

I am in need of specs too for an E540. I have three of these sitting in some old Datasouth high speed dot matrix printers circa 1988.

    Part# 540-029-0739
Encoder is a Renco with these markings 8826 - 76900-001

Any info would be very much appreciated

You can try running the number by Renco, I used to have a contact there but they have since been let go due to the take over by Heidenhain, they have obliged me in the past.

I would like to know constant and peak current at last. Voltage and rpm secondly.
In this thread Al_The_Man's (thank you for being with us!) post#10 about Electo Craft 0540-04-032. In posts#2,3 - information from Renco about an encoder with I hope have same wiring. Please, tell me if this is not true.

It looks as though all the info I have for the the 0540-04-032 is in the post 10.
If you match the body and style of the encoder on the Renco site, the encoder wiring should all be there in the data sheet.

If you download the obsolete catalog from there website it will probably correlate to a e240
