I have a hot tub right next to my bed room. The filter circulation pump is a standard inexpensive AC motor about a 1/4 hp to a 1/2 hp, 1725 rpm, 230v, 1 phase and it makes too much 60hhz hum noise. The motor and centrifical pump are mounted on a rubber pad, but it still reverbs throughout the tub. The pump runs about 2 to 3 hrs twice a day. I would like to replace the motor with something quieter using the same pump. Any suggestions, Dc maybe or AC servo ? There's no real requirement other than quiet long lasting service and hopefully inexpensive. Thanks .........Don |
