Sinusoidal servo problems

Does anyone know of a good on-line resource for the tuning of resolver based brush-less servo systems? I have a bunch of obsolete parker and amc components that should be compatible (I'm hoping to use them for a spindle drive) but all they do is sing and jerk. They're all nos so I doubt anything is wrong with them. I don't have any real experience with servo systems so I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Didn't know AMC made much that will work with resolvers. Got any part numbers? With brushless, the feedback has to be set up correctly, or all you'll get is singing and jerking, mostly jerking.

The drive is an AMC SR30A and it's powered by an AMC PS30AB power supply. The motor is a Compumotor Z605, 1.5 kw. The motor has a 4.25v Harlow resolver with red/black, blue/yellow and red-white stripe/yellow-white stripe wires. I couldn't find any literature on the resolver: I'm guessing the striped wires are the reference lines?
