What type of feedback do okuma vac-motors have, resolver or encoder/hall? Model: VAC-MFL 7.5 / 5.5R-157, not much info on the net about them. I want to use it as a spindle drive. Thanks

The Vac motor has a resolver in the back behind the fan/blower. The drive on the okuma also use a magnetic encoder which is usually placed on the main spindle shaft and it is used by the drive for positioning and velocity control. Brandt |
