Questions about servo motor temperature!

If everything is set up just so should a servo motor warm up some or should it stay room teperature? I am running some servos with the UHU servo boards and the motors stay at room temperature. It seems like they should get warmed up a little if they are runnig at thier peak performance.

It's very unlikely they will be running constantly at full wattage, in most cases the highest torque occurs during accel/decel times so when at rest or at constant cutting speed the torque required is considerabally less.

Thanks for the reply Al.
If I run the router for several hours cutting a 3D sign or something like that should the motors at least get warm?
I think I have my current set potentiometer set wrong is why I ask.
I checked the current going to the motors and the highest it gets is .7 amps. My motors are rated for 2.5 amps. Is there something else I can check to make sure I am getting full power from the motors?

If the drives were going into current limiting you should have noticed that in the performance.It is probabally that the demands of the program you are using, does not require full power from the motor, You should see some current blips if you accel and decel fast.
I would only worry if they are getting too hot.
