    Over voltage on ametek motors?

Can ametek motors be ran at a higher than rated voltage but less current, kind of like steppers?

If you really feed the motor a constant higher than rated voltage, it will overspeed. So you don't want to do that, particularly since you will be in a low. With steppers, as you move you are switching an inductor, so the switching speed is impacted by the voltage di/dt = V/L
