I have a yaskawa servo pack model SG DB-05ADG where might I find out how to test / make this thing work. I would like to use it to control the motor on the cnc conversion I am currently working on. Happy Hunting archie =) =) =) |

| Archie, Yaskawa has downloadable manuals on their website. www.yaskawa.com If you have specific questions, ask them here. I should be able to help you, I've worked with these drives quite a bit. Regards, Scott |

| I use the digital operator, but I found something called SigmaWin Lite on the Yaskawa site. This looks like a windows version of an old DOS program called SVMON that I used to use. SigmaWin Lite The servopack uses RS232 for communication, but not in a standard pinout. This means you will have to build a cable to connect the drive to your PC: PC (9 pin) Drive 2 ----------- 2 3 ----------- 4 5 ----------- 14 Then on the PC side, connect 4 & 6 and 1 & 7 & 8.
