Hi, I recently purchased 2 Haas S5C indexer controllers, ( E-Bay ) but the exitement of the purchase quickly dissipated upon receival of the two units. The two controllers were so dirty with years of hardened coolant mist that they would stick together . The units are both 1990 model, apparently identical, but one has a 14 pins motor connector, end one has a 17 pins connector. What Is the reason for that ? The one with the 14 pins plug, has connections to the Motor supply ( 160 VDC ?) plus 6 leads for the encoder, and two more leads ( Purple and brown) and ground of course. Can anyone steer me in the right direction for the purchase of the correct motor, and/or advise me on the pin out of this controllers. I'm tryng to setup a rotary table to be moved by the servo motor, in order to cut some internal splined bushings on a metal shaper. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot A.M. |

| Contact HAAS. They are pretty good with service support. With the $$'s save via e-bay buy, get model numbers and then order manual for them. That should get you going with straight no bull info. My neighbor has some HAAS equipment and some of there servo motors are no longer serviced. These were not cheap to fix when in production and could be even more so if out of production. I hope you did'nt inadvertantly buy someone's boat anchors.... |
