Hi everybody I have a question about a drive i found thats rated 20/50 hp the armature amps are 89amps, The spindle motor I have is rated at 15hp and 55 armature amps i know the drive is allfull big for the motor but the price is right? Will this drive smoke the motor or will there be any other problems running a drive this big Thanks for the help!!! |

| I would say as long as you can protect it for your motor rated current, either by adjustment, parameter/and or/fusing you will be Ok, I am assuming this is a DC spindle motor? If DC and a wound field, make sure that the field supply is compatible. Al.
