Has anyone here used both DC servos and steppers on a project? I'm considering using a large servo motor on my X axis, so that I can run my heavier screw, and steppers on my Y and Z. I'm concerned there may be discontinuities when doing circular interpolation, whichi will be doing often. |

| You shouldn't have any problems mixing steppers and servos. But, if you're servo axis is much faster than your stepper axis, you'll be limited to the speed of the slowest axis when doing moves using both, such as circular moves. That would probably be the only issue.
