I've posted this in the Cincinnati forum so apologies for double posting, I had no luck there so thought id ask here.
I bought my first CNC machine, was very excited, got it delivered and wired it up, without even getting a collet holder in it, shortly after turning it on the spindle driver smoked
I'm going to try and repair the drive myself but dont hold a heap of hope, it looks like the powersupply module on the board has blown, I was either going to separate it and have an external feed, or repair it. One component has blown apart It's a little surface mount SOT23 it looks like a transistor but could be a diode or zener.
Can anyone help me identify this component? If you have a spare SD1000 control card laying around is anyone able to measure this component with a multimeter for me? This component and a couple of tracks have blown, so I'm thinking about re wiring the tracks and if I can find out what this component is - will help me a lot
Many thanks
