I am having a no. of motors and want to test there encoders,that whether there is a problem in the encoder or the motor. I want to test it without drives and encoder wire,can anybody give me help me with the procedures and circuitry required... Thanx in advance.......... |

| Identify all connections, apply suitable power, e.g. 5v. Use oscilloscope to identify and test the 5v quadrature and or differential signal levels. This assuming they are TTL encoders and not low level sine wave types. This can be confirmed with 'scope test. Al.
