    Converting an Ordinary DC Motor to a Servomotor

    my budget is limited and i need servo motors for a cnc table (4' x 8')

    they can give me his opinion on this conversion?

    General use DC motors are not made to the same specs as DC servo motors, Servo motors usually have more poles, skewed rotors and are balanced for high rpm.
    I have seen all types of motors that were Treadmill duty and all appear to be less than the normal manufacturers specs.
    One I saw was a Baldor and had servo motor - Treadmill duty on the label. On inspection, the pole count appeared to be much lower than the regular Baldor servo.
    I would be more inclined to get high quality servo's off ebay if you have limited budget.
