Hi. I built a tachus42 driver based on plans in pminmo's site and it is working (or so I think). The thing is that when I test the x-axis by loading the file scorpion.tap which came with the Mach3 software, the stepper motor turns in both directions throughout the program but at some points the motor just vibrates for like 1-2 seconds with no real movement. As this is the first time I am working with a stepper motor, I have no idea if it is normal for the motor to vibrate at some points running this file? I am powering the unipolar stepper with a 12V (max 15A) ATX PSU and the motor is rated at 6.48v/1.2A 1.8deg/step. Appreciate your help! |
