    Sanyo Danki Motors

Toyoda uses custom built Sanyo Danki servo motors. I have yet to find someone willing to repair/rebuild them. We found that in most cases all this $3k~$6k motor needs (when they fail) is a $6 5.5v 1F cap on the encoder board. We repaired two this week. If you have one of these fail it's worth the 6 bucks to at least try replacing this cap before buying a new motor.

good point tho on the cap issue being common real fault!

The next one that the cap replacement trick doesn't work on you'll be the 1st one we call.
