I am having trouble with some servo drive setups. I am running (2) electrocraft 360 oz servo motors with 250 CPR encoders and Gecko 320 drives. With the servo powered up I can rock the servo .07" to .09" before the servo powers the other direction. I have tried adjusting the gain and damping on the geckos, I have it to were if I adjust it anymore it runs away. What else can I do are the motors not working correctly or do I need larger count encoders? I am trying to hook this system up to a rack an pinion and not much backlash at the gearing it seems to be comming from the motor. Thanks for any suggestions. Rich |
