I am trying to convert my VMC with an old anilam 1400m controller. I looking for a low end controller, as I do all the programming on the computer not at the controller. First question: Is it possible to reuse the motors with another control? Will it work with Mach 3? If not, what other controllers would you recommend?
The Mill has a 11.2 KWV spindle with 16 ATC. The parts that I will be machining have very lax tolerances ie +- 1/16 . I would ideally like to reuse the motors as the motors and encoder packs appear to be working fine.
Either way, I am open to advice and embrace opinions.
