I'm trying to get my servo config down here. I'm doing a RF45 conversion and want to use the Keilling 850oz DC servo motors. I found some BD30A8B drives pretty cheap. I'm looking to use the AMT encoders for Keiling as well. I know these drives will worth on both brushed and brushless motors. What I don't know is will I be able to run them in EMC in closed loop? They are PWM/dir drives. Also are they even decent servo drives? I seem them from $80 up to $500 for the same drive. From the looks on the spec sheet it's PWM only. I'm new to servo's and just looking for the right setup. |

You will want to start here; NC-Mill-How-To and here, LinuxCNC.org - HostMot2 Driver . Hope this helps, Iron-Man |

| I forgot to put what electronics I was thinking might be what I needed. I'm definitely going either 5i20 or 5i23. For the daughter cards for the drives I'm thinking the 7i37TA might be what I want for a PWM/Dir scheme. |
