Reinshaw RGH41 linear encoder limits termination

Hi all,

Can someone tell me if the wiring connection is correct?

P (Pos Limit)------(-ve of opto coupler)
+5VDC------------(+ of opto coupler)

If I connect up this way, by default (no limit) my opto coupler is light up and when limit is hit, my opto coupler is off.

RGH41 linear encoder system

P and Q(Neg Limit) are open collector outputs, does it mean I need put a
pull up resistor (5kohm) to 5VDC?
