I am looking at some AMC servo drives on e-bay. Right now my Hurco is running servo mate 90vdc (12 continuous & 20peak amp) drives. My plans are to do a retrofit soon. Either Mach3, Ajax control with Mach3, or all Ajax. Either way I want to keep a spare drive, and be able to change out a drive on just one axis ( That's why I don't want the Ajax drive module). My question is, will the 30A8T work for what I am doing? Will the drive work with US digital encoders?< (I haven't purchased them, yet) The "T" is supposedly a revised version. This drive has 80 vdc max & 30 amp peak with 15 amp continuous. Here is link from amc: http://www.a-m-c.com/download/datasheet/30a8.pdf Thanks for all of the help, JAckal

| These AMC drives are non-intelligent drives intended for the type of CNC system that closes the PID loop in the controller, with Mach you need a drive which each closes the PID loop and takes step direction input, the AMC are 10v analogue control. Al.

| From what I understand, Ajax uses Mach as a system. Al.

| So that makes it pretty much the same, unless you use the AJAX software. Which it may work the same way for feedback, etc. Would these drives work with EMC??? Thanks, JAckal
