Hello all, I have a 3 axis VMC with Vickers acromatic A2100 control. Just recently the X axis has started making a high pitched resonance noise while moving, this continues for a short time even when the axis is stationary. I assume the servo drive needs tuning(siemens simodrive). Can anyone help me with this? I would like to connect my laptop to the drive and run an Autotune but am unsure how to do this and what software to use. Any help would be much appreciated Thankyou |

| Good luck! What sort of drives control the servos? Are they tunable manually, (screwdriver on a pot) or is there a setting in your software somewhere to adjust the P,I & D settings- if so what are they at the moment? |
