I am not sure whether this forum is right place or not. Couple of days ago, I got KT-2525 I ordered from K2. I assembled and connected with my controller. I setup all axes and tried to move step motors. All 3 motors looked fine, but the issue happened when I tried to drive motor high frequency. When I tried to dirve motors around 3000Hz or more the motors just made "Why~~~ng" noise and not actually moved. but low freequence around 500Hz it worked. 500Hz / 200 step / 10 tpi * 60 sec = 15 ipm. Is this normal or what? I am using HobbyCNC controller configured 24V drive with upto 15A. My computer is about 133MHz pentium CPU. Step motors are purchased from HobbyCNC 200 oz motors. Show me the way |

| Lower your acceleration and your velocity, (in motor tuning menu) till you can get the motor to run at their top speed with-out missing pulses. Also check to see what your holding voltage on the hobbyCNC board is set to.

| Which software are you using to drive the Hobby CNC board? Aside from checking the accell/decell, make sure your screws can rotate freely across the full travels of the axis. If the screw isn't prefectly aligned with the axis, binding is assured.

| Thank you for your reply. I am using TurboCNC software. Before the motors are installed they worked OK with around 6000Hz. But when they are equiped into CNC, the issue happened. I cannot say the screw rotates "Freely" but feels "tight". |
