Looking at building a table that has over a 5ftx12ft travel, with a gecko 540 controller. Main use will be plasma and laser cutting, with possibly a dremel thrown in for cutting some mdf for speaker boxes and such. Wwould way say its going to be moving about 70 pounds. Controllers and all can be change, I just like how the 540 is all in one and seems to have a decent amount of support and following. I also like that a 4th controller is built in so I can use the plasma possibly as a tube notcher with a spinning axis. Obviously not using ball screws. 3 of http://cgi.ebay.com/NEMA-23-Stepper-...4#ht_500wt_928 possibly work? |

Check out the link below. It has free software for servo motor sizing etc. I designed my servo reducers for a Sherline mill, although I did not need the software. Check out my work and others here; http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40940 Hope this helps. Iron-Man http://www.copperhillmedia.com/VisualSizer/index.html |
