Pictures are below: I picked up these assemblies from a friend of mine. He repairs medical equipment and these were salvaged from some equipment that had been replaced. I bought them for the slides and wanted to sell the rest. Googling the net and this site, I'm able to find lots of references to Parker Compumotors and some XX232XX motors. This model number fits that format and I assume it might be some custom configuration for the original equipment manufacturer, but I am just speculating. If someone could clue me in on that fact, it would be a bonus. I am wondering if any of you kind folks could give me any information about these motors. Such as: Quality: Resale Value: Servo or Stepper: (suspecting servo) Controllers needed to use them: Are they practical for anything I might use them for? i.e. Small CNC or other shop devices that I might add some type of actuator or movement to. Additionally, are these slides and screws any good? They are 24 inches long. Thanks in advance guys, Matt |

| The ball screws look like high lead rolled, so they may not be all that good unless they have a pre-loaded or double nut to prevent backlash. Al.

| Thanks for the help. They do have some type of anti-backlash nut on them. Picture below. I received the 'boilerplate' mail from Parker's engineering info address, saying I would receive a response within 24 hours. I removed some of the extra junk from the assemblies and found out some more stuff. The bearing blocks are THK SSR25's. Looks like the THK slides and bearing do pretty well on eBay so I guess they are pretty good. I've got 4 more of these assemblies coming. A pretty good deal, I'm only paying $25.00 each for them. Thanks, Matt |

| And I got a response from Parker. It's a custom model for an OEM. They said if I want the specs on it, I need to contact them. Ugh. This stinks! With that, I think they are going to eBay. Does anybody know what these would go for? I don't want to rip anyone off. Drop me a PM if you prefer. Thanks in advance, Matt Last edited by mattgatten; 06-10-2010 at 12:58 PM. |
