Hello everybody I am new to this forum and CNC in gerneral. I am planning on purchasing a taig mill and was wondering if you guys can help me out. I want to put together the electronics myself but do not understand resolution. What is the diffrence between a driver that has resolution of 1 to 1/64 versus a driver that has a resolution between 400 and 25000? I will be milling mostly aluminum. thanks hope you guys can help me out..... |

| I think you are mixing apples and oranges here. What two drivers are you considering? The simplest answer is to buy a Gecko G540 and three Kelling motors and you will be way ahead.

| Hi 33. Welcome to the Zone! Here's some basic CNC info: http://crevicereamer.com/Page_2.html Don't overcomplicate things. You don't need to re-invent the wheel. Just buy one of these, and start making chips: http://deepgroove1.com/cncmill.htm CR.
