    Question Geko 540

HI I have a taig mill with xylotec drive . I lose step frequently and I was just wondering if the geko 540 setup would help or be better setup for running my mill I have 4 axes setup now.

    Thanks

Hi Joe. Welcome to the Zone!

You don't say what motors you are running, or what PSU.

    I will assume 425 oz and 24V.

The 425s are not the BEST motor for G540, but will benefit from a higher Voltage PSU and because it has speed morphing and mid band resonance compensation, the G540 WILL improve your setup.

    I would recommend the $60 48V PSU and $289 G540 from Keling:

Sell the Xylotex before it dies.

Whoops! That was a typo, Joe. $289 is the correct price. Your IPM should be WAY faster with the G540.
