Inductors with Rutex Drives

I am in the processs of converting and Anilam Crusader to Mach 2 control.
I have 4 Rutex R90H, Relay board, and Mother board. I am using the original 140VDC to power the motor. My question is, would it be alright to leave the inductors between th drives and motors or should I get rid of them? Thanks.

I assume you have DC servo's, they are probabally low inductance motors hence the inductors, I generally leave them in place when retrofitting as it makes it a bit easier on the drives.

Yes, the motors are 120 volt dc. I am going to continue to use the 120v power supply and 8700mf capacitor, but I am going to chang out the motor to these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
. Should I continue to use the inductors, and if so should I buy an additional one for the 4th axis or just not use one on it? I should have been more specific on the first post. Thanks

If you want to be safe, the ideal is to obtain the minimum value that is spec,ed in by the drive manuf. and obtain the inductance value from the motor manuf. to see if they fall within the rating of the amp without using series inductors. I would keep them to go with the new motors, The 4th axis you may have to apply the method I mentioned above.

Inductors in motor circuit

Gentlemen,

Vladimir has recommended that inductors in the motor circuits be removed, as they can negatively affect the PWM output of the drives.
