Hopefully there is someone here that can HELP get my rutex drives working. First let me say BEFORE I transfered funds to Rutex their support was spot on and they helped me choose exactly what I need. So I was impressed and purchased the products we agreed upon. NOW, I have the products. I have NOT been able to get the motherboard (2110) and any of the drivers (2020) to talk to the LPT port using any of the Rutex-tune software packages. I have used different computers (old 2000 servers, workstations, modern laptops, usb LPTs) and cables to ensure it is not a hardware problem on my end. I have tried every combination of LPT settings in Windows settings and BIOS settings available on many different computers. I am at a loss. If there are any friends here on CNCzone that have suggestions to get my computer talking to the Rutex 2110 motherboard and 2020 drivers I would much appreciate your help. If anyone has a friendly relationship with the folks at Rutex PLEASE implore them to support their products. So after spending close to $900 on the hardware I am forced to call out Rutex on a public forum because I have not heard one peep from them to help me get my machine running. I will soon purchase a different servo driver product to install on my machine because I can't afford to keep my machine down (upgrade of an old 1980 tree CNC machine). I really don't understand either. Their sales support was excellent and never more then a day away with any questions I had. They had the best value of any of their competitors for drivers that could handle my motors. If my messages have been blocked by a spam filter or everyone in the company has been on vacation, I will apologize like crazy. But I'm out a lot of money with no help. Please, Rutex (or anyone else that can) help me out. Warren B |

I am assuming that they have a working phone. Even if it costs $20 for a long distance phone call, it is well worth the piece of mind. I seriously considered there drives for my mill retrofit, but based on what I believed to be a tough time that they were going thru, I passed. Mike

| Custom cables, off the shelf cables, even tried the different cables for the other motherboard. I may just buy the optoisolated board. Maybe it's just a bad motherboard or doesn't work with any of my LPTs, the whole 5v vs 3v That gives me an idea. I'll try installing a PCI based LPT port and give it another shot. |
