Gentlemen, I watched the many posts on power supplies, and thought they were being answered better than I could for the most part. I have had stock for a while now....But in the wee hours of the morning, I'm going on vacation until the 18th of June. Vladimir should be watching emails more closely now, but I don't know whether he normally looks at the cnc zone. For the next couple of weeks, I'd suggest you email vh@rutex.com for Rutex related questions. Tom Eldredge Rutex LLC

| Hi all, I know this is an old post but I too am having problems trying to contact Vlad about a blown R9xx board from over a year ago. I blew it up by not using a filtered supply on the control side and I don't remember seing it specified anywhere. All I wanted to know was if it could be fixed and if Vlad or someone else could send me the parts and locations of them to replace to get the board up and running then that would have been great. Vlad contacted me after I first mailed him about the problem I had and he said he was very busy but to send it to him anyway but after I sent it to him I have had no response. I can't get my machine up and running until I get it fixed or replace it and I am not going to do that if it can be fixed. I have sent 4 emails to rutex with no response at all in 1 year. Only 4 because he is SO busy. It seems they can sell but forget about you afterwards and for a $1000 investment the service sucks. Yes, I am unhappy, as I now have a very expensive flat serface to store things on in my shed. Maybe Tom can get him to answer his mails and if not then I will source my drives from another dealer like IMServices or Gecko which may not be better but they are cheaper and more active with their aftersales service. I just wanted to buy locally as I have to source most of my parts from overseas but I now have a bad story to tell. I am sure this can be resolved but not by me, so now I wait again. Maybe the (2nd) New Year will hold promise. Richard.

| Richard, What kind of board is bad? I can send you a replacement if you will tell me what kind of board it is. Did you ever try to contact me? My normal support place is Tom@rutex.com. I make a habit of responding to every email on a daily basis, except on weekends. Then I catch up on Monday. Rutex has a very liberal warrantee policy. You may also call me on the phone at 573 368 7399. Tom Eldredge Rutex LLC

| I do not have the R90 boards in stock, but I have a few R990H drives in stock if that is what blew. Otherwise, we might have to get help from Vladimir. I'd like to discuss the whole situation with you however, on the phone, so I don't have to do email correspondence for this type of service. Tom

| Hi Tom, Thanks for getting back to me. It was a R990H board that blew. At the time when I was hooking it up I read that you could use a DC or an AC power source to power the control side of the board so I didn't think that a filtered supply was needed. I though it a bit strange at the time though and I must dig out the instructions and have a damn good look this time. I am not in the habit of claiming for things if I am the one who destroys them through my own fault/stupidity and I don't think your company should wear it either but I think in this case we were both at fault, if you could say that, through a bit of ambiguous info. This is why I would have liked to have it fixed or fix the parts myself even though a track was blown out where the capacitor used to be. I will get in contact with you through your email address, Tom, and have a bit of a chat about what I can or can't do. Once again, Thanks for the reply. Richard.
