    Lightbulb fanuc spindle motor issue

i just bought a Fanuc A06B-1511-B200 spindle motor for a customer and open the box and no motor documentation. First question is it common practice for fanuc to not send documentation with new motors? It has a box on the top of it and it has what appears to be a box connector for the feedback device. Has anyone seen this type of motor? If anyone has information on this motor please help. I have a broken one coming in and can't take readings on the good because i dont know the pin out.

Yes, they usually assume it is for replacement, so the connections are usually taken from the old/original.
What system is it for 10? 15? The Connection Manual is usually the source of hook up arrangement.

Unfortunately i dont know what system it is for. I was just called and told the part number and that they needed it right away. What i may end up donig is contacting the customer and see what information they have in the system. There is nothing easy about seeking out information, everyone is so closed lipped when it comes to that. Thanks for your help Al you are a wealth of knowledge and glad you dont mind sharing it .

I am not too clear as to why you need the connection details? If it is for a customer, wouldn't the hook up be his issue?
Unless you need info in order to check the old one out?
I am assuming this is a AC spindle motor? If you have any other details I can check the spindle connections I have.

    Default fanuc issues

Well i am replacing a motor that is down and that one will be coming into the shop for repairs. Here is the wiring colors and location:
    1. N/c
    2. Blue
    3. White/orange
    4. Grey
    5. Orange
    6. Gray ( i think this one is to fan or overtemp)
    7. Red
    8. Black
    9. Green
    10. White/purple
    11. an uninsulated wire with a rubber boot
    12. Gray ( i think this one is to fan or overtemp)
It is a 12 pin square AMP connector, that is all i got right now. i really just need to know what signals are on the wires so i can determine if one is not right or missing all together.
