Pin 1-2-3-4 on Cn1 1 and 3 beeing step and dir and 2-4 beeing ground

Dont have the paralellport diagram in front of me, so i can not tell you right now if 1 or 3 is step and the other one dir.,but ill see if i can find it

    --end quote

but nothing moves. there is power on the motor but when i try to send the inpluse nothing happen and if i turn the motor by hand (really hard) then it return to the original position where it was before i turn it.

i\ve also try to copy this guy setting but i get the same results.

    k-linkz,

In your posted image you do not have a EStop switch or jumper connected to the breakout board, are you sure the breakout is outputting step and direction pluses?

It also appears as if you are using only two wires for step and direction, what about the common wire?

    Jeff...

    hi Jeff,

    thanks for the reply,

In your posted image you do not have a EStop switch or jumper connected to the breakout board, are you sure the breakout is outputting step and direction pluses? did the bypass with the jumper cable

It also appears as if you are using only two wires for step and direction, what about the common wire? it there it's just black. (there are 3 wires) the enable wire is not tap into anything.

i've try with the e-stop in bypass physically (just a wire to bypass) and try to bring the common to pin 3-4 on the sanyo denki drive.

still the same results = motor stay strong in the same position (hard to move) and when try to move comes back position 0.

. i'm woundering if maybe the sanyo drive needs something special to get into position mode but i didn't find any pin to play with

if i plugin the gecko drive all the axes x y z (i'm able to move the axes) , but with the sanyo denki it just stays there hard and won't move and if i try hard to move it (by hand ) it comes back to the original position.

Do you have the Remote Operator? It is required to configure the drive for Position Mode.

it's not clear to me how torque - position - velocity mode - could after enabling/disabling step- dir pins on the drive. But maybe there is an option with Remote Operator that can enable and disable remote step - dir.

You must find the CORRECT documentation.

I am willing to bet the amplifiers you are in possession of do NOT SUPPORT Position - Step / Direction!

Ask "Al The Man" to chime in, he has been around since the dinosaurs and may have helpful relevant information.

    Thanks jalessi for the inputs.

note to myself for tomorrow or next week cuz i'm tired and before i lose the idea:

    sanyo denki drive :
seems to be 1 and 2 (for step and dir) pin 3-4 nothing pin 5-6 switch enalbe/disable something and pin 27 - 21 jump wire
    from source time 0:11 :

    mach3 config :

also put kernel at 1mhz or whatever high it is 100khz cuz it seem the 25khz standard might too low

    Breakoutboard 5axis in line:

need 5VDC at bottom for output or usb plug at the top and if use input at side 12-24vdc on the side

Breakoutboard 4axis in line 1axis on the side:

different setup then the one above. check config again

Exhausted brain say: if it work before then there most be away to work again
    try
This ac servo drive should takes step and direction signals. +5vdc to +sign and +pulse. step signal to (- sign), direction signal to (-pulse).

there most be a away the youtube guy make it work with just 5 wires and 1 of them is a jumping wire.
buy coffee from Tims tomorrow you earn it.

    P.S. check e-stop config again.
P.S.S. work after coffee try to not burn down the shop or get electrocuted.
