Well, thankfully after contacting Sanyo Denki, they provided me with the software!

Hi Charles,
I have the Ver1.24E + serial cable but cannot get any communication with the driver. Have tried installing the SW on W7/32bit and W98SE and no go, I get 'Communicate Error' and some accessviolation when exiting program in W98 but no accessviolation in W7.

Any hints what to do to get comms working?

Hello,
Has anyone been able to setup one of these PY2 amps?
I'm having problems with JOG mode. Amps have no alarms, I can get to the point that GUI for motor direction are displayed but the motor doesn't turn. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong.

Hi Don, I'm sorry I cannot help you with the PC to PV2 software but was hoping you could provide more information regarding the cable you made? For example, where did you find the parts, what are the pinouts etc. These cable are difficult to find and also expensive.
