Mach3 and flash

OK...I'm VERY new to Mach3 - but I'm very familiar with Flash.

I've been going in and trying to build a custom screen layout just for fun (since I'm not entirely familiar with what all the buttons even do). Ultimately I was just wanting to make something that would be touchscreen friendly (sample attached).

I've been using screen4 to edit the screen. So, how would I insert flash functionality? I went through all the tutorials, but they miss this last vital step. I did notice digging around that the Shuttle control is all one flash object. Is this the extent of how flash can be used? IOW, do you have to tab to the flash window? I was hoping to be able to embed multiple flash objects on the screen similar to a website.

Any insight?

Also, I changed the background image and despite it's original size and it's specified size in screen4, it always seems to be causing some resizing to the image. I'm working in 1024x768 - I tried making a slightly smaller image, yet specify a slightly larger size in S4 and that helped a little.

Flash screens can not be created using Screen4. You'll need to use a Flash app to create the screens. You can find some video tutorials on Flash screen design at the Mach forums at www.artsoftcontrols.com

OK...so you can't add flash functionality in Screen4. How do you add it? I've watched the video's and like I said before, they don't mention how to embed the flash into your screen.

Is the normal practice of using flash to make one full screen or individual controls. If it's making one full screen, I'm curious how you would handle the graphic views.

Also, Mach3 doesn't have the file that he describes in the video with all the action script commands. I'm guessing I can just download mach2 and get it that way.

Also you might want to join the Mach forum, & talk to zealous, it looks like he is the flash /screen guy to talk to, from what I've read on the forum.

Nice screens! Thanks for the links...you answered my question on the first click through. I didn't think of looking at other file types on the screen menu, right there is .SWF. Now I just have to locate all the action script commands (which are probably in the links provided)

Thanks again.

...ok...I'm getting frustrated. Anyone know where I can get all the flash action script commands? The files appear to be "mach flash leds.txt" and "mach flash buttons.txt"
