    Ger,

That thing looks great! Count on a donation from me when it is finished.

Will there be a page or place for user LED's (future customization by the end user) ?

Please consider a "verify" button. I like to use that when my machine has been running a while, to make sure I have not lost position.

    Rob

    Can you be more specific?

I guess I can leave a blank tab? It's full right now, but I can drop one of them. I think I'll get rid of the 2D probing.

Also, the tab key will open a large diagnostics screen. I can leave some space on it for you.

Is that a regular Mach3 function? I don't see a button for it on the regular mach3 screen? Here's what I'm thinking. I have a bunch of space on the "Run" tab, so I'll replace the rewind with 4 smaller buttons, and make one of them Rewind, and leave 3 for users to modify. All you'll need to do is add text and a blank (transparent) button in Screen4.

If you have any other ideas, give em to me quick. I'm at the point where changes are a big PITA.

Here's where it stands right now.

Looks great Gerry. Will it have the normal jog mode commands (ie, the hotkeys will work)?

Guessing the answer is yes, but if not, I'd definitely like them as I have gotten to where I prefer single micro step jogging to zero the z instead of the touch plate....

Yes, the arrow keys and pageup/pagedown will work with any tab open. It'll have 5 different user defined increments that the buttons and hotkeys will cycle through. What I do now is jog down at 100% 'til it's close, then hit a key to change it to 10%, then when it's really close I hit another key and it switches to .002 increments.

Although I plan on switching to Auto Zero soon. What don't you like about the auto zero?

About one out of every 10 times I use it, the bit goes down nice and slow, makes contact, and instead of going up, it drives the bit down into the touch plate, breaking smaller bits.

    Ger,

The verify button is found on the MDI page, standard (default) mach screen. I use it to determine if I have lost any steps, or if any of the mechanicals on my machine are loose.

As far as the user LED's: My machine will have a few position sensors for the dust-boot, and the second x-axis, etc. I thought that I needed to set up custom LED's on the diagnostics page, so that I can do brain functions/macro's based on their status. I might be thinking about it too hard though.

    Great Job!

    Rob

    Found it after I posted.

I like this a lot more, and made it more appealing to a wider audience.

I've got a few people testing it now. It shouldn't change too much now. But I do have room in the toolbar for several more buttons.

It's going to be $20 when I finish it. If there's enough requests for specific features, I may end up with multiple versions, as it's fairly easy to change a single tab.

I'll also be adding a 4 axis version as soon as it's done. The axis DRO's will be a little smaller, though.

Sounds like you are using a zero script that is suspect. There are plenty floating around the web.

PM me your script and I will take a look.

Looks good. I wonder how it will look on my screen out in the shed. Guess I should copy the files you put up before and take it out there and make sure it looks ok before buying it. (I have a wide screen in here, which stretches things and makes it not so pretty)

Oh, what is initial autozero and initial autozero + tool change?

I was using the aussie tool setter one... but I'm using your blue screen now, so whatever that one is.
