    Default 2010 sreenset on touchscreen

    hi all, hi gerry,

i just ordered the 2010 screenset and i really like it. today i got a touchscreen and the only thing which is not working so well is jogging.

i want to jog with buttons on the touch screen. unfortunately there are no jog buttons in the screen set and with the tab key only the diagnostic page opens, not the jog wheel. i also found a scaleable winxp screen keyboard, which would make the physical keyboard obsolete. on this screen keyboard there are no arrow keys.

did anybody change the 2010 screenset to incorperate the jog buttons or does anybody have an idea how i could dissolve that?

    thanks,
    michael

You could change the jog hotkeys with Config > Hotkeys so that your screen keyboard can be used for jogging.
Or get an Xbox 360 controller and use that for jogging.

I'm not aware of anyone that's added jog keys to the screenset.

thanks gerry, but the standard mach3 jog thing which comes up when pressing the tab key in the 1024 screen set would be totally sufficient for me.
is there a way to duplicate that in your design and open that if you press for example "F1" ?

You'd need to replace the diagnostics screen with a jog screen.

I think that you're the first person in 6 years that's brought this up.

maybe i am the first one because touch screens get more and more affordable and it would be great to use your screenset just with a touchscreen.
unfortunately i am not familiar with the mach3 screen designer. is it a big thing to add one more page, just a copy of the standard mach3 jogwheel ( the one which opens if you press tab in the 1024 screen set), and attach it to your screen?
the diagnostics however would be needed, maybe open the jog wheel with a different hotkey.
    thanks,
    michael

There's only one flyout screen available, so you can't add an additional one. You have to replace the diagnostics screen.

actually, that would be okay, one can always switch to the 1024 screenset for debugging.

would that be complicated to do, to replace the diagnostic with the jog wheel?

I'm not sure if you can copy and past the whole thing, or if you have to place each element individually. The screen designers can be finicky, so I've never tried copying multiple items.

On Windows 7, you can open the on-screen keyboard by clicking the Start button, selecting “All Programs,” and navigating to Accessories > Ease of Access > On-Screen Keyboard.
You’ll also find a “Start On-Screen Keyboard” button in the Control Panel’s Ease of Access Center, but that does the same thing as launching the keyboard directly.
