    Hi,

    I just installed the 2010 screen set and am having trouble with the jog settings. Basically the Increase + and Decrease- buttons don't seem to work anymore (i.e. the step increment just stays at .00100, i had expected it to jump up and down with a button hit). Am i missing or need to change something?

    Thanks
    Mike

    Did you enter the increments? I think they are on the options, or settings tab. (Don't have mach3 in front of me)

    Hi Gerry,
    I bought a new computer for my machine, and am still setting it up. However, I have a error when a tool change command comes up that I didn't get before. ( I am at work and don't have the exact verbage but it's close too) "z height cannot be greater than 0, e-stop initiated" I have my tool change z pos at 6.35" in machine co-ordinates.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Ray

    As the message says, the Toolchange position can not be greater than zero. Z zero in machine coordinates should be at the top of the Z travel, and all moves in machine coordinates must be in negative values. So, your toolchange Z position should be a negative value, which would be the distance below the home switch.

    Yeah, i checked that first and it all looks like they are there. Any other ideas? Even if i revert back to the default screen set the increments don't work now either. I tried putting the old M6 files back and still no luck. I had copied mach3 to make up a backup and the old one works so it looks like something changed in the install for the 2010 screen set.

    Make sure that you aren't in MPG mode.

    The 2010 and default screen use completely different increment buttons, and increment settings, and are not related in any way.

    Hi Ger, I have been using your screenset eversince I built my platform cnc several years ago. I recently purchased the XHC Mach3 pendant and was supplied macros for it. They do work except for several items. But my initial issue is for Auto Probing Z. I have sent you several emails regarding the issue and have tried several thing also. Hoping for your response soon.

    Ger, Thank you for your immediate reply and helping with the macro for the xhc mach3 pendant... the z-probe feature now works like a charm. I did not know how much work went into this screenset until today. Thank you again Ger.

    Thankyou for reply!! I was able to get the default screen working, it was just a stupid user error so my fault.

    However, I still cant get the increment buttons to work, but i can type in a manual increment change and it works.

    If in MPG mode i get a popup window saying "not available in MPG mode", and have tried in either step or continuous mode.

    Apart from the issue i am having the screen set is really good. The probing functions make my life so much easier and appreciate this must have taken a lot of time to make / program so thankyou.

    I'm pretty sure that you don't have the increments set. The fact that you get the MPG message, means that the macro is working. Go to the Settings tab, as shown in the attached image.

    I think he copied the M889 contents into the M930 macro.

    However.
    I believe that you just need to assign the correct numbers of the 2010 macros in the plugin configuration screen, as shown in the manual for the pendant.

    True, but you can only change custom macros. I wanted to use the dedicated buttons. But by replacing the macros that came with the pendant with your macros for Machine Reference and Z Probe it works well.
    Thanks. And by the way -- Nothing beats your screen. Really appreciate your work.

    Hi there Gerry.
    I have your 2010 screenset and would like an addition in the tool change macro along the lines of while the turet is moveing to the tool change position it pops up a message with the new tool no and size in it then vanish when at tool change position.
    Can you help with this as not to sure what to write and where in the macro.
    Terry

    I really don't know how to do that.
    One, I'm not sure you can have a message box window open during movement.
    You'd probably have to get the tool size from the tooltable.

    It would need to go in the M6Start macro, which basically just sends the tool to the toolchange position, and then waits for the M6End to run.

    Hey Gerry, I have a problem I'm hoping you can help me with.
    For years I have been using your screenset and macros. The referencing all macro has been working just fine. My system has Z (going positive), X (going negative), and Y (going negative), then A (slave to Y).

    Just recently, because I am adding a laser, I changed the slave for Y to C. Even though the maching runs correctly with this setup when I try to reference all the slave (C) does not home. I changed the referencing macro (884)to the following but it didnt work.

    DoButton( 24 )
    ' Home Z
    'Code "G53 G0 Z-1"
    'While IsMoving()
    'Wend
    RefCombination( 34 )
    ' Home Y'Code "G53 G0 Y1"
    'While IsMoving()
    'Wend
    DoButton(22)
    ' Home Z'Code "G53 G0 X1"
    'While IsMoving()
    'Wend

    Can you see what I am missing"

    Thanks
