    Exclamation OSHA regulations for housekeeping?

Hello everyone. My father works in a machine shop and I'm trying to help him find out what the OSHA regulations are when it comes to housekeeping and not having oil on the floor. The person in charge of washing the floors is a lazy person and daughter to the Foreman. She recycles dirty water for weeks at a time before she'll finally use clean water. My fathers health has been declining because of this along with her own fathers from what I'm hearing and I need to know what can be done about it.

Solid proof of what the regulations are for California would be very helpful so I can call for the shop to be checked up on by an inspector if at all possible. I would like to speak with the owner about this but am afraid he won't do anything about it unless I know what the laws are beforehand.

This website (https://www.nims-skills.org/web/nims...edcompetencies) mentions briefly maintenance and housekeeping but its not specific as to what that entails.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
