Hello. This is my first post in this great forum. I am building my first CNC machine, and I have a problem with my vacuum cleaner. The dust I get from working on MDF is so fine that it obstructs the pores in the paper bag making it explode before it is even a quarter full. And it doesn't warn you either. It just blows and gets dust all over the place. I do have a dust mask, it's the cleaning all the mess up that I would like to avoid. I wanted to make a dust collector for my cnc, and I was wondering how others have made their own. THANKS!

I bought one of these, and it is working great: Oneida Air Systems - Dust Deputy If you do a search on this forum, you will find a lot of threads on the subject, as well as links to some home build plans, but when you consider this is a total working solution for $60, you really can't go wrong...

Thanks for the info! Yes, that looks like a good idea. I didn't know they sold things like that, haven't seen them around here at all (I'm in Spain). The only thing similar is a Dyson vacuum cleaner, and they are pricey. I have one, ane in spite of the centrifugal cyclones and all the bells and whistles, the filter gets clogged if the dust is fine enough. I will have a go at making one of those things you've shown, see if I'm succesful. THANKS AGAIN!
