Hey guys, I'm finally building my model D, and I'm building it out of Extira MDF. But, I have 3 steppers I want to use, all are 276 oz.in. I want to use just 1 stepper on the X axis instead of 2 and I plan to use 2 timing pulleys and a belt or 2 small sprockets and a chain to get by with 1 stepper. Do you think that will work good ? Has anyone else done it this way ? Thanks, Steve |

| Hi Yes it's possible to use one motor, and timing belt to drive, two screws, can't say if I have ever seen it done with the model D, but it is very common to do, it just takes a little more work and components, I would for sure 100% use timing belt and pulleys XML size will be fine, don't use chain and sprockets,
