| DIY CNC Newbie Questions Hi Guys, I'm busy building a cnc using rockcliff plans, (bit modified). I've got some general questions: (1) What would be the best way to connect the motors to the frame? At the moment I've got them connected straight to the wooden frame. Is this correct? (2) How can one minimize vibrations from the motor? I was thinking of using rubber washers when connecting it to the wood? (3) With the threaded rod, what do you guys do with the other size? (ie. the one side is connected to the motor and the other size I currently have sitting a little hole in my frame (4) My drive nut is a piece of nylon that I threaded to fit the rod. Should I put some kind of lubrication on the rod? oil, grease ? I'm sure the answers to these questions will lead to more questions so thanks in advance for all the help. Photo Set |
