| Newbie questions Hello all need a little help. How do you use screws in the mdf to keep it from wrecking it. I have tried drilling pilot holes and then using deck screws, but it always seems to split. What is the secret? When building a DIY slide, how do you assemble the slide so that it is square and the slide itself doe not bind. I cut my peices on a table saw, checked the induvidual peices for being square, but am having a hard time assembling them and having the slide move freely. It is tight on one end but when you slide it to the other it gets real loose. Thanks for your help and sorry for the rookie questions!! Walt |

| as far as screwing MDF together, most people drill clearance holes thru and use aluminum angle to bolt it together with pan screws and washers and nuts as far as the slides you can try some shims, loosen the tight end up one bolt at a time until its smoothe, than try some shim under it that fits and retighten it and try it again, trial and error till you get it where you like it good luck |
