Ok so I use RhinoCAM 1 for everything. I'm look at RhinoCAM 2 on my friends computer and noticed it has a lathe function which is great because I don't have a CAM for my lathe I just use the built in wizards.

So my question is this, I've looked at a couple of the RhinoCAM Lathe tutorials on Youtube. I've setup my Lathe tooling, but what I don't understand is how to program in the actual tool holder. I mean if I'm using a CAM to process my Gcode then shouldn't it account for the tool holder? Let's say I'm using a CCMT OD turning tool carbide insert how does RhinoCAM know what angle the insert is at and the shape of the tool holder so it knows it has clearance? I have some specialized tooling for turning in tight spots and would like to know how the program checks this.

Normally I would take a CAD of my tool holder and bring it to the profile of the part and see if it clears certain areas in the part I want to cut.
