    3 Axis Profiling in RhinoCAM?

    Hey guys,
I am currently learning to use rhino and rhinoCam, and I am trying to route something and I cannot find the appropriate toolpath. I basically want to profile something, but i want to path the z axis to move around a curve whilst I am profiling the X and Y.

Obviously there is the 2 and a 1/2 axis profiling toolpath, and then there is the 3D 'Offset' profiling, but why is there not a just a '3D profiling' option? It seems like it would be an integral tool. The 3D offset profiling toolpath doesn't allow me to select the inside or outside of closed curves as the 2 and a 1/2 axis does, and seems to want to do multiple passes and take out material using tool stepovers - whereas I just want to do one pass!

Am I missing something obvious here?

You've probably already thought of this, but just in case...

you can always use the 'Engrave' operation. Although it goes by that name, it essentially just drives the tool wherever you tell it. Therefore if you horizontally offset the 3D curve you want to profile by the cutter radius, and then use 'Engrave' to follow that curve, you can get the result you want. Obviously this is a little second best because you have to apply the offset yourself, but I quite often resort to little dodges like this.
