Hi all,
I've been registered for some months now and have found this Forum to be an ocean of information and expertise. I have a dilemma which I am hoping someone with more experience might be able to assist in resolving...hence my first post here.
When viewing a simulation of a small part to be machined I cannot get the ball mill to machine the entire surface as shown in the attachments.
Here are some particulars:
A) The gray surface/s are polysurfaces
B) The pink area is a Nurbs surface which was created using the Patch command.
C) All these surfaces were Joined.
D) I have experimented using ridiculously small dia. mills (eg 0.2mm) and still have the same simulation error so mill bit size is not an issue.
The lower part of the Nurbs Surface (pink) was partially machined which indicates (I think) that this surface is not an issue. So....has anyone got any suggestions??
Thanks in advance.
Phil

Hi Phil
I suggest you submit this exact post (along with the CAM file) to support at mecsoft.
I don't know Rhino, but it is unlikely that it is cad related.
I can't think of why it wont create a full toolpath off the top of my head.
I am sure Mecsoft will help you
