    Rhino hotkeys?

Hello, Im new here and sorry my english.

Is it possible to make own hotkeys in rhino (4.0)?
I know how put macros to keys F1, F2 Cntr+F.. and so on.. But is it possble to put Ortho on/off toggle to spacebar? I hate to click ortho on/off by using mouse. It would be nice to have possibility to put ortho behind one click, like spacebar.

I hope you understand what I mean.

By default, ortho toggles on and off with the shift key. Dont forget to set your ortho to your preferred angle (90 is default, you can set it at 15, 30, 45, etc.)

Hotkeys can be custom programmed in rhino options. Tools_Options, and then go to aliases. Click the help button. An example of one of my custom aliases is as follows. AS = '_Invert Hide. I simply select one object, type AS, and hit enter. Selection is inverted, then hidden. Unlimited hotkeys are available.

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the reply!
I know aliases, but there is one problem: hit enter. I would like to use ortho and others just pressing one button, like space, or letterkey or number without pressing enter. Like computergames when you customize keys.
Now I have to press enter every time. I dont like it

I dont have ortho on my shift.. and I havent customize my keys. Holding shift I can drag perspective view, but no ortho on/off. I wish I had like that.

    Hi MIkko,

if I'm recalling right, the ortho shortcut is the F8 key. Either that or you can make your own shortcut on whatever key you want.

You can assign command to keys in the Keyboard option dialog.
I'm using ortho toggle on F8, it is either default or I made it like that, I think it is default.

you can also right click, instead of pressing enter. Also, see Tools_Options, then scroll down to the Keyboard settings. There, you can assign instant hot keys, in the same manner as Alias.

    Cheers.
