Hello- I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out with a function. I have been taking some AutoCad courses and then trying to apply what I have learned in Rhino. I would like to add a radius line in between two tangents, with Autocad its something to the effect of circle>tan tan radius. I was able to get it done in Rhino but it seemed like hack..in Rhino I did something to effect of ..circle>tan>select first point> select second point or radius<5.00> ** at this point I hit enter and it placed a circle which I moved into positon in the window. I was curious if I could just select the two tangents and have it(Rhino) place the circle with the appropriate radius needed between them? I tried a couple of different ways, but none of them seemed to work properly. I could of very well left out a step.. it was late. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks j |

| Rhino has the same thing. Circle, tangent, tangent, radius.

| I will give another shot tonight..I thought it would/should be the same everything else has been similar. One thing I forgot until just now is Circle>ttr .. will the ttr option work in Rhino as well or would I have to specifically circle>tangent (select)>tangent (select)>{enter radius} ..hope that made sense.? thanks j |

| Thanks, I forgot I had Rhino on this machine that I am on .. sure enough. Its still not doing what I want(or thought) it will do ( I am probablly using the wrong function). Example: I have a rectangle drawn starting at 0,0 that exends to 200,0 (mm) its about 30mm high. I need to draw a line from 0,0 to the 200,0 that has arc with a radius of about 1000mm ... am I using the wrong function? Any suggestions would be appreciated... j |

| Actually Gerry... I think I may have got it by using the arc>start, end, radius. I guess what I wanted was just to draw a line from point a to point b that had a specific radius to it. Dont really know why I thought the tan tan rad is what I wanted. You rock though, thanks for the help, probablly wouldnt of found it with out your help. Thanks again. j |
