Hey, I have a file with a bunch of curves that I need to finish off...what command can I use to draw new curves that are continuations of existing ones ....are tangent to those...extend does the trick but only for one segment...I want to be able to extend by a polyline...
thanks!

I think that a more appropriate workaround would be to start a new curve (after snapping to the end of the existing one), and draw the rest of your "line". Once this is complete, join the two curves. To eliminate the kink (that is, to make the curvature/tangency match), hit F10 (control points on), and delete the point where the two curves join. Viola!
With Rhino, there is never less than 10 ways to do something. Hopefully, this one helps you out.
F10 would do ok for short extentions.. You could drag the points...
